We stayed in Metairie but watched the parades in different locations. We purposely avoided the madness and we were happy we did. It goes to show that Mardi Gras can be family friendly too.Metairie is more for families; therefore, you wouldn't get much flashing. Needed to go to the night parades in New Orleans.
