On Friday Jim Smith's attorney was back in the Bellefonte Court House. It seems his name and Beth Morgan's have still not made the ballot!

The BOT.....

er, uh, I mean the PSUAA...sorry about that...tried to buy off the lawsuit by agreeing to place Smith and Morgan on the ballot.

This was not a case where they recognized their (obvious) illegal actions and tried to make it right.

To date, Smith has not been willing to "horse-trade" with the BOT.....er, uh, I mean the PSUAA (I seem to keep making that mistake).

I hope he doesn't acquiesce, though I could understand that he may do that to accomplish the goal of getting on the ballot....but I would hope he chooses to move forward with the lawsuit. I think taking the lawsuit forward - and hopefully exposing just what a sham the Agricultural "Elections" are - has more benefit than getting on the ballot.

For those of you who don't know, the BOT...er, uh, I mean the PSU AA...is now putting forward changes to their bylaws which will make the election of folks to the Alumni Council a moot point anyway.

amazing how once people started using to rules to reform the BoT, errr I mean PSUAA , , , they want to change those rules to further discourage alumni participation

Re: The BOT.....

I've come to the conclusion that the only way anything up there will change are by lawsuits. They simply violate their own rules and have been used to getting away with it for years. Now people are calling them on it and they are changing the rules to keep the status quo. I assume they will try and buy off these lawsuits as '"nuisances". Nothing will change until alumni push these lawsuits seeing the 'bigger picture'. It's the same with the Freeh review IMO. The alumni reps will need to sue to get unaltered access to the report materials. Not sure why they try to go through 'the process' anymore. I think it's pretty clear the old guard will just delay and delay rather than address the issues.

Re: The BOT.....

Maybe it's time the alumni turn in those credit card and stop participating in the other money making schemes they come up with. Lawsuits are one avenue, cutting funding is another.
