My wife and I were traveling by plane a few weeks ago on our vacation. Connecting through O'Haire on a fully booked flight, I was supposed to have the middle seat and she got the aisle. When we get to our row, my wife generously offers to take the middle seat and let me have the aisle. After settling in, I look over and see that there is an extremely attractive young woman (if you like the auburn hair, freckles, and athletic body type) sitting in the window seat. She reminded me of a cross between Micha Hancock and Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings). See below for a representative photo of Alyssa Sutherland to avoid any flags. So, was my wife just being nice and letting me have more elbow room in the aisle, or was this some protective instinct that didn't want me that close to another very attractive woman? In all seriousness, my wife was actually being nice, because she's done that often. It's still funny though... Anyone ever have a similar experiences where their wife/girlfriend spoiled an opportunity to network with an attractive member of the opposite sex (either on purpose or by accident)?

Flag for not posting a picture of your wife and the other woman.

Bob. you know darned well that wives and other immediately family members are out of scope for the requirement to post photos. I will say, that I was able to find a photo of this young lady based upon some specific details she mentioned to my wife. I had originally pasted her photo in this post, but ended up feeling creepy/stalker-ish and decided to go with the photo of the celebrity.

Peetz, I thought that you were banned for your personal attacks towards me. Please place me on ignore, as I do you, and our peace of mind will both improve.

Possibly, I don't know who you ignore.
It was Peetz Pool Boy. At some point, I must have peed into his cherios or something because he has it out for me. I know that I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but I don't know why he won't just ignore me.

I have no one on "ignore", including you, but that doesn't exempt me from opining on your "drama boy" posts.

I feel sorry for your wife (and your employer), and hope that you're not really this stupid and sensitive in "real life", but my gut says otherwise.

I'd rather sit next to my wife than any chick you could name. If she gave you a certain seat it was to suit her purposes, which were probably very benign. Cheers to you mate, you married a good one.
Congrats to you both for "marrying up". So did I.;)

That was the right move, although perhaps still a disappointing result under the guy code. The creepiness simply would have been over the top.

Just be happy you didn't have to sit next to this lady. One minute she's taking the armrest, then she is reading your messages and filming you and putting it on social media.

I mean no disrespect when I say there is a third possibility. Perhaps your wife also found her attractive.

my wife is great about this. First, being taller, the window or isle is eminently more preferable than a middle. I always offer her the window or isle and she always insists its not a problem for her. Second, I wouldn't say it was a defensive move. Would she expect you to hit on the gal on the flight in front of her? I hope she trusts you more than that.

Btw, if my supposition above is correct, then the "no family" rule is waived, and you must provide photos of both women.

Or maybe she just prefers the middle in your "threesomes"?

(Not that there's anything wrong with that! )

I scrolled through to make sure I didn't hit an already posted thought. I was surprised to see 26 posted without seeing the obvious.

This is 2017......I'm with DemLion. Lol
