Color out of Space is an adaptation of the 1927 H.P. Lovecraft short story “The Colour Out of Space” about a meteorite crashing on a farm in rural New England and the strange, unknowable, shapeless thing that comes out of it, slowly mutating and killing all life around it while manipulating space-time in the process. It’s one of Lovecraft’s best loved stories, and certainly one of his most beloved science fiction stories, though of course there’s a hefty helping of existential dread. The short story has been adapted a few times over the years, first as the Boris Karloff film Die, Monster, Die! in 1965, then as a Wil Wheaton movie called The Curse in 1987.

Nic Gage will do any movie if you pay him more than $5.00 - that Dude was able to squander more money in a short period of time than any pro athlete. He owned a Castle and I think 3 house in New Orleans at one time until the Tax Man and Debt Collectors got after him - close to broke now. Not saying he is a bad actor - Wife hates him but I like a lot of his movie but most now are direct to video.

he is nutty but seems to have a sense of his nuttiness

this is one of my favorite SNL skits:

There is a version of this movie available on Amazon Prime. Says it’s from 2012. I think it may be German so probably has subtitles.

Unreal to think this guy was one of the best actors working at one point. I watched 'Leaving Las Vegas' not too long ago and he's spectacular in that film. This sounds cool though.

I seem to recall a crack about an actress who had a "range from A to B"...

That was Dorothy Parker critiquing the acting ability of Katherine Hepburn. She also reviewed "The House at Pooh Corner" by writing, "Tonstant weader fwowed up". In her prime, she was deadly. I recommend her biography, "What Fresh Hell Is This?".

Guy does like 10 movies a year it seems like. Almost every week I see new movies on Netflix come out with him in it. They are all mostly terrible of course.
