anyone have experience with either car? Probably buying one in the next few weeks. Thx.

No first hand experience but I read a lot of car magazines and they love the Honda. it is based on the Honda fit which has always received rave reviews. They like the Juke but no one seems to like that crv transmission by Nissan. Really depends on the price and how much you value your driving experience or if you are a point A to point B person.

I can say if I were choosing between the two, all things being equal, I would get the Honda.

HRV is based on the fit platform.... Not sure why Anyone would consider an HRV over a Fit... Though theyll probably sell a shit-ton of them... If that Juke has the CVT (which i believe it duzz) You might want to lean Honda IMHO

thx. I'll look at the Hondas for sure. What is wrong with the CVT? I know nothing about how cars work.

CVT is a glorified snowmobile transmission.... Essentially a belt on a torsion-loaded pulley that opens as RPM/load increases... Effectively enabling infinite drive-ratios (thus, "continuously variable" ) vs. 4 gears (eg. 4speed automatic).... Automakers love them because they are light, relatively simple devices, cheap to build, and squeeze an extra couple of mpgs.... I think the new Fits have CVTs as the two-pedal offering, thus it may be the only choice in the HR-V (i guess I could Google it, but, nah)... Make sure you test-drive a CVT as they feel quite different than a geared transmission... They key test is driving 60mph then stomping on the go-pedal to make a pass... If that doesn't bother you then you'll be fine operating a CVT ... Ive got 70k on mine and I still don't like how it responds... Rubber-bandy... Brings out all of the clamor in a 4cyl
