OT: Pearl Harbor

Everyone knows the significance of tomorrow's date, but there is another story about Pearl Harbor that is not so well known, especially for the younger generations. Here is a link to a web page that provides a good summary.

Thank you. I'm big on history particularly WW2. Funny...as a young person in school, history was my least favorite subject but as I became older, I can't get enough of it.

I think your teachers had a lot to do with it. I felt the exact same way but a good college professor changed my attitude. He made the subject both interesting and relevant. He had a reputation for tough grading, but he was so good that I signed up for additional courses with him.

i like the stories, not necessarily being tested on some obscure details (by some teachers). Sad to see the 'day that will live in infamy' starting to fade due to generations aging... Need to keep making PHarbor movies

I remember being 9 years old in 1976 and listening to our coaches/scoutmasters talk about Pearl Harbor and WwII and it seemed like it was 200 years before to a young me. Now, it would be like something happening in 1999 - like as old as the song “Nookie” to someone today
