Has no idea what the details are here but Stevo Poulin is no longer on the roster at NC State. Could be something worth keeping an eye on.
It was either PSU or NCST. The club he wrestled out of is run by Coach Pop's brother. He was a top 10 recrui who I believe PS had interest in at the time. He seemed to have an NC State connection, which is why he went there. I believe he visited PS too. I assume he is still a 125lber. Interesting he isn't on their roster and not in the transfer portal yet. I guess we will stay tuned...
Unless he blew up, hard to see him going 133. Now maybe Howard could go 133…Possible 133 next year?

Clay, you're around these guys a lot. Doesn't Robbie seem pretty small for a 133? He is not a big dude. Yet, he is often mentioned when talking about 133.Now maybe Howard could go 133…
I think he can be a career 125 if need be, but wouldn’t struggle at 133. He’s not as big as Hildebrandt but not as small as Heinselman, if that makes sense.Clay, you're around these guys a lot. Agreed, though he needs additional size/strength for Fix and Bouzakis. So I suspect his ceiling is a little lower there.I think he can be a career 125 if need be, but wouldn’t struggle at 133. He’s not as big as Hildebrandt but not as small as Heinselman, if that makes sense.
His other finalists were Lehigh, Ohio State, and OKST.It was either PSU or NCST. The club he wrestled out of is run by Coach Pop's brother.
As I. recall, Poulin was much higher rated (top 10 P4P) coming out of high school than Steen. Steen was considered a decent prospect, but not elite by any stretch. TIFWIW.To bad we couldn't get the 8th Grade version of Stevo!
Mostly kidding but to some he was the next Spencer back then (aka Adam Busiello). I haven't paid to much attention but I thought his most recent performances were not world beating. He is listed as 6-0, so maybe it was a few pre-college level bouts I am misremembering.
Where do folks see him in comparison to Steen, I would think slightly better?
The hype slowed a bit but he was a top 3 kid at his weight for most of his high school career. Think he’s a fair bit ahead of Steen for sure.To bad we couldn't get the 8th Grade version of Stevo!

OK
So we will be seeing his MMA debut thread soon..
