Just starting in Springfield, NoVA. Firsthand report from Richmond is 2-3" as of 12:45.

Same here in Silver Spring. But cars and ground is covering up pretty fast.

Nothing but picture blue skies here in JAX. I'm sitting by the pool drinking a pina colada. But, I'll keep you posted once the snow begins to fall

Johnstown PA. Light snow, but steady. Started as flurries approx. 90 minutes ago, and now progressed to steady light. Light accumulation on city sidewalks beginning within last 15 mins.

Explain to me again why global warming would be bad for us northerners.

Been steady for the past few hours, but only about an inch or so of accumulation in Aldie, VA (Loudoun County).

Raining in myrtle beach. Come on down and I will take care of your breakfast tomorrow

Rain in the Bay Area. And, of course, the Cal OC quit today to go coach at Middle Tennessee State, just a week before National Signing Day. We're doomed.

BTW, I Hope it is snowing like HELL in Ann Arbor..

North of DC just finished shoveling 4 to 5 inches. I'll be going out again around midnight to see how much is there and do it again. So far its the dry fluffy stuff, not the wet heavy stuff.

No snow here in Sarasota yet. Good thing I flew here from the snow and cold at my Ohio home to my southern abode yesterday and not today.

It's rough out there tonight, kids. Midnight in York County and we already have 3/4 inches and the wind is picking up. We're hunkered down for the long haul, counting on doing next to nothing until Sunday morning. But that's 36 LONG hours of snow and wind. Hard to say what will be out there when it's all said and done. Wish us luck!

Dude: Do you get any "Lake Effect" weather, or is that more of a thing for people living near Lake Erie?

Lake Ontario freezes over once every hundred years... Lake Effect is life, and I love it. Based on the shoreline immediately to the west of me acting like a deflector - the worst lake effect stuff gets kicked about ten miles down Lake Road heading east toward Oswego NY (much more-severe than Erie/Dunkirk/Southtowns of Buffalo) ... It's downright insane that way - all the way around the eastern side of lake ontario up to Watertown NY ....

35 miles south of Happy Valley-just finished the first of likely many sessions of snow blowing my long driveway 11 1/2 " thus far. Yesterday accuweather forecast 3-6" total. Meteorology is such an exact science!
