I am firm believer that, while the College Football Playoff is getting close, the Stanley Cup playoffs and March Madness are on a different level than any other American sporting finale.
This year's playoffs have been no exception to that; they've been remarkable. And the Finals is looking to be one hell of a cherry on top. The plot line is magic: the ever underachieving heavyweight vs perhaps the greatest surprise success story in hockey history. More importantly, it's been just amazing hockey - close, fast, hard hitting, impossible saves, clinical goals.
As a Pens fan, between my disdain for the Caps (and belief that Tom Wilson should never win anything of value ever) and my love for Fleury in the net for Vegas, I almost feel like I have a horse in the race. It's kind of feels like cheering against Notre Dame.
