...when they say there are lots of fish in the sea, they really mean it. This was right off Jupiter beach obviously.
I think all the time about how awesome it would have been to be alive and have seen the great bison herds that covered the westAwesome stuff. Thanks! Can you imagine what it was like 200 years ago?!!! (Before humans removed most of the fish from the oceans).
Supposedly the bird flocks would blacken the sun when the first colonists arrived. Was on a cruise in the Galapagos Islands this summer, where 97% of the land and water is protected. Got to see something like this. Some views out over the ocean had literally over a thousand seabirds visible at one time.
One time offshore I got into a huge school of pogies, similar to what you're showing there with the mullet. I looked at the sonar at one point and the depth was reading 14 feet.... which was impossible since I was about 15 miles offshore. The pogies were simply that thick that the sonar couldn't "see" through 'em. It's quite a sight to see in person when the bait fish are that thick....when they say there are lots of fish in the sea, they really mean it. This was right off Jupiter beach obviously.
