Deadwood is so underrated. An incredible mix of violence, humor, pathos and poetry. Amazing ensemble cast, though McShane’s performance as Swearengen is one for the ages, truly something to behold. It’s a pity it ended abruptly due to some contract disputes with HBO.I’m rewatching Deadwood….has there ever been a show with so many great characters? Even the minor characters like Dan, Richardson, Tom, Doc and many others were awesome.
I was shocked that he was barely mentioned on this thread. He had us all on the edge of our seat like no other for a couple of years anyway. Amazing concept and Kief nailed it.Jack Bauer was pretty good, to me.
Of course if it wasn’t for his dumb ass daughter getting kidnapped every couple of weeks he wouldn’t have had anything to do all day. I finally got to the point where I was telling Jack to just let them keep her, it would save you a lot of time and headaches.I was shocked that he was barely mentioned on this thread. Rust Cohle. - True Detective
One of the most complex, fascinating and well-acted (Matthew McConaughey) characters in any medium.
