Cool. They were hopeful that the drier weather in the last day or so and approaching from the top would help
Maybe they will come in from the top to get them all out, like what happened with the miners in Somerset County and Chile.
Some Thai women set up shop and helped feed all the rescue workers day and night. Pretty cool
I feared this would end badly. Good for the Thai's and them sticking to the search.
The drill bit was designed in Scranton PA that save those Chile miners
Actually, it was made by Center Rock in Berlin, PA. The rig was made by Schramm out of West Chester.
Looks like either the kids will need to learn rudimentary diving skills or stay in the caves for four months until the water recedes. Neither option sounds really great. The dive involves navigating some zero visibility corridors.
I read a former Thai Seal who volunteered to help has died in the caves. They think he passed out. It appears it takes five hours to reach the cave section where the kids are trapped. While the rescuers are not admitting it, it sounds almost impossible to get non swimmers and divers out via a five hour dive extraction.
Yep. It appears that the kids and coach are way too weak and/or malnourished to try that at this time.
There's all sorts of FUBAR in that rescue scenario.
Maybe the search for another way in will succeed.

So Elon Musk floated the idea of inserting silicone tubes that can be inflated in the areas that are submerged, creating a tunnel within the cave structure. It’s either that or drill - don’t know if that’s feasible. They’re now running low on oxygen. I don’t see how kids who have never dove - some can’t even swim - are going to make a dive that experienced divers have trouble with.

On Friday the Thai government confirmed that Musk's engineers will arrive on Saturday July 7 on its Facebook page.
"Elon Musk will send his team to Thailand tomorrow (7th July) to help in cave rescue. He may provide services for location tracking, water pumping or battery power," read the statement.
They got in when it was dry. Then it all flooded, causing the exit issue.
Looks like Musk and the Thais have come up with an executable plan.....actually an A and a B now.

The Washington Post is reporting that that Thai and international divers/cavers will attempt to extract each of the boys, and their coach, starting in a few hours. The entire process is expected to take about 12 hours. Here's hoping that everything goes well.

First thing they did was pump water out to lower the water levels in the cave made it much easier to navigate and traverse through the cave
Fox News is reporting 2 boys out now a third on his way out.
