OT - What Are We Drinking Tonight?

"Caribou Slobber" - a brown ale homebrew that I bottled a couple weeks ago that is a favorite with both guys and gals. I add extra malt to give it a bit more kick.

Now that I've retired, I brew about every six weeks for myself and others.
Nice. I home brewed for years, but with a couple of moves I have not set up the equipment in a couple of years. I need to get back to it.

Yep - it's amazing how efficient you can get when you stay focused (or are retired...😁). I have six brewkits lined up, starting with a Scotch Ale. Think I'll wait until the polar vortex passes before I start on that though!

When I first started brewing I asked the guy at the supply store when I would get to economies of scale so it was cheaper to make than buy. He laughed at me.

👍🏻👍🏻 on the Scotch Ale. A much underappreciated style.

I do my own distillation, of water that is. I just used it to make a Laird superfood instant latte. I'll probably switch to straight water next; neat, of course.

I can't remember the last time I had alcohol, and my liver loves me for it! But, I have some Asahi & Red Stripe in the fridge. Maybe tonight is their lucky night? 😂
