Liberal tripe.
"Lies, damned lies, and statistics" is a phrase describing the persuasive power of numbers, particularly the use of statistics to bolster weak arguments. It is also sometimes colloquially used to doubt statistics used to prove an opponent's point." The phrase from Mark Twain or Disraeli.
I am not familiar with the term “ open access university “ and they didn’t really explain the term. I know Georgetown is a private school.
Here’s an idea : instead of telling other people why you consider something to be a problem ( broadly racially categorized unequal outcomes ) and asking for government money to fix it, do what you are suggesting at your own institution first with your own money and then convince people with your empirical results.
I also tend to question the statistics they provided. For instance, how do the graduation rates of American versus nonAmerican nowhite students compare ? And what are the statistics for those first in their family to attend college versus students from multigenerational college families ?
