there was an older guy at the office who used to be pro golfer.. at the office he was near the bottom of the ladder as he had lost a huge client and probably was not at the apex of ambition being 60+. He recently moved to Montana with his much younger girlfriend a few months back for cost savings and a more simple life.
When he was at the office he used to bum rides halfway home as he split a car with his girlfriend (we both lived east of the office out of I8. In my industry this made him an outlier, three daughters and a tough divorce left him on the wrong side of the balance sheet of life. 2 of his daughters were Red Bull Girls... We ate lunch a few times and he always encouraged me to keep pushing forward, telling me "the world belongs to the younger guys". They guy always had time to say hi and ask how I was doing. He wasn't treated all that nice by our local management.. maybe his only gripe (rightfully so).
So I just wanted to notice him, he died today from a lightning fast bout with pancreatic cancer. RIP Bruce Osborne.-sg
