#6 Chris Foca from Cornell got a TD and ride out to beat Cael Valencia from ASU 6-5. Riding time point won it. Valencia was only 2-6 coming into this match. Valencia led 5-1 after 2.
SafetyAnybody know why Indiana ended up with only 2 points in their 39-2 drubbing by Nebraska today? I'm assuming they lost a penalty point? Wrestlestat shows Nebby winning every bout except heavy, which Jacob Bullock won by DEC over Harley Andrews.
LOL paniro stalling?sounds about right!Realbuto beats Paniro 10-7 in OT. Paniro gave up 4 stall points the last 2 with :03 left to send it to OT. Schwab and Dresser had to be pulled apart during a stop in the match. Pretty awesome atmosphere and good match

How did the twins get to that match so fast?Track shows 1 team point deducted for "coaches conduct"
At 141, No. 6 Brock Hardy wrestled No. 26 Henry Porter. Hardy had an impressive performance and used six takedowns to claim the 20-5 tech. fall victory, his fourth of the season. During a challenge from Indiana, the Hoosiers were penalized one team point for coach conduct.
Exchange is here. Paniro was definitely stalling hard at that point.Realbuto beats Paniro 10-7 in OT. Paniro gave up 4 stall points the last 2 with :03 left to send it to OT. Schwab and Dresser had to be pulled apart during a stop in the match. Pretty awesome atmosphere and good match
paniro should have been DQ not coming to center acting like a fool lying around whining to his coaches!not accepting a stall call!LOL paniro stalling?sounds about right!
Wow the big man from Lehigh showing some athleticism, technique, and speed. I know both of these guys are strong and are solid wrestlers, but how can you be involved in a rigorous sport like wrestling and be that flabby?Schultz doesn't get lifted like that often. (Though he was lifted with a hi-c, not a double.)
Definitely was. The double stall call didn’t decide the match, the takedown in OT did. In a different perspective Paniro built enough equity to sustain two stalling calls and win the match in OT.Exchange is here. Paniro was definitely stalling hard at that point.

Christian Pyles on Instagram: "This was INSANE. I can’t remember the last time I saw a late 2 point stall call decide a match. This one really had it all. ISU’s Paniro Johnson had a solid lead on UNI’s Colin Realbuto but his energy was fading fast!

Seems like Lehigh in particular has figured out how to lift him up and put him down.Schultz doesn't get lifted like that often. (Though he was lifted with a hi-c, not a double.)
It really was a great head pinch by Schultz. Probably the 2nd best one I've ever seen. We could nitpick over how Wood didn't finish, but IDK what he realistically could've done differently from there, with that head pinch so tight and with such limited time remaining.Seems like Lehigh in particular has figured out how to lift him up and put him down.
Remember this one, around the 13:15 mark?
Too bad Wood wasn’t able to finish, though.
It was a fun sequence, for sure.It really was a great head pinch by Schultz. Probably the 2nd best one I've ever seen. well they never got close enough to touch!Realbuto beats Paniro 10-7 in OT. Paniro gave up 4 stall points the last 2 with :03 left to send it to OT. Schwab and Dresser had to be pulled apart during a stop in the match. Pretty awesome atmosphere and good match
Slumlord Bob happened to them. 2 of their 4 best wrestlers are in Iowa.Ok, I'll ask - what is going on in Tempe? ASU is 4-8 on the season with wins over LIU, Embry-Riddle, Arizona Christian and Cal Baptist.
I get that. But even so ......Slumlord Bob happened to them. 2 of their 4 best wrestlers are in Iowa.
They also moved into B12. The schedule got much more difficult, as the talent got poached.I get that. But even so ......
is stalling equity? NODefinitely was. The double stall call didn’t decide the match, the takedown in OT did. In a different perspective Paniro built enough equity to sustain two stalling calls and win the match in OT.
This and they have also had some decent recruits in the last couple years that haven’t lived up to expectationsThey also moved into B12. The schedule got much more difficult, as the talent got poached.
Rumors of Richie Figs next year. Sad. One of the last programs to beat is in a dual. :-/Slumlord Bob happened to them. 2 of their 4 best wrestlers are in Iowa.

That’s a good point. Didn’t help. While true, I think Sunkist ending was the main catalyst for guys being more open to going elsewhere. DT getting Valencia hurt as well.
Absolutely. Cael Valencia, Jesse Vasquez, Chlebove, and Kilic were all pretty big recruits who haven’t panned out at all. They have some good young guys though. Emilio Ysaguirre, Nicco Ruiz, Manville, and the Larkins is a pretty tough group of young guys. This and they have also had some decent recruits in the last couple years that haven’t lived up to expectations

Ah yes — sometimes I just need to beaten over the head with a good hint.I can't believe nobody took the "2nd best head pinch I've ever seen" bait.
Are everybody's glasses broken?
Ramos looks pinned there.Ah yes — sometimes I just need to beaten over the head with a good hint.
