Most of the PA Regional Tournaments are this weekend, March 3-4. Big Ten's are the same days. All are exciting tournaments for avid wrestling fans.

How do you manage? Focus/preference of one over the other? Attend one over the other? I know not all of you are in PA...how do you manage listening/viewing/attending?

Easy for me being out of state I only have TV access on the BTN for the conference championships. Wish I could receive the PA network that covers state sports at times but that is out. I depend on reading results and comments here for the most part to follow the High School wrestling state tournament although I have accessed the district event results to see if I remember any names from living in the area back in the day.

Ditto.... out of state for me as well. I spend pretty much every weekend at club volleyball tournaments so BTN2Go is awesome for me!

I'll be at the SE AAA Regional on Friday/Saturday. Check in on the B1G by my phone. Then sit on my couch and enjoy the B1Gs on Sunday.

Well, this year is much easier for me. I live in District 3, and their AAA Region was this weekend. With regionals this coming weekend, I will be watching all of the BIG tournament and following the regionals online.

In many years, the BIG's have been at the same time as States. I've been going to States for 18 straight years (and others before that). In that case, it is tough. I'm watching States while following everything online for BIG's.

I will be coaching the youth program at league championships this weekend, so I guess I will have to follow the others online when there is a chance between our matches.

The fact that D3 AAA basically gets a bye week is one of the dumber things the PIAA allows.

I endorse Jeff Upson's proposal, in part because it would eliminate this:

You can get pcn online. You do have to pay for it though. I'm not sure if you can watch it live or if it's just on demand after the event.

I tend to agree about D3 AAA having an advantage. It wasn't always like this. I Can't remember when it changed, but both the AA and AAA D3 tournaments, which doubled as the South Central Regional tournaments, used to take place over 2 weekends with States beginning the Thursday immediately following.

I followed high school wrestling for about 2 years after I graduated. Other than evaluating top level recruits, I don't see the point.

MN has state this Thurs, Fri, and Sat, so I follow on my phone when able to.
Sunday is the sabbath, and I turn that over to Cael and the boys to recharge me for the next week.

Yeah, it's good to see the top level guys, the next group of college stars.

But, being from PA and having lived out of state for many years, I like the connection to the old Commonwealth. I like seeing the town names and the high school names, realizing what a big deal it is for the kids and their families. It's fun just to go back to lists of past champions, and see how certain regions and certain high schools had a run of being at the top, and then seeing other areas or schools come on.

Thanks to the internet, I can follow the PIAA tournament even though I'm hundreds of miles away from my old home state.
