Palepale NOT Going To IMG

Curious about IMG...are these 5 star football players paying their own way or is it scholarship based? I have to imagine that the people actually paying the full tuition come from super wealthy families. They likely pay for the others through their insane cost of nearly $90k for (including room and board). Does anyone have any actual insight. More curious than anything.

or is there an NIL or "booster" aspect to it? Could a supporter of some college team pay for a kid to go to IMG? And who paid for the kids who went to Kiski prep back I the day?

Best I can tell, the top prospect type kids are on scholarship. Now if you wish to send Junior there, they will let you pay and enroll him. I don't know what the split is, but I'd say it's at least 25% of the roster just bases on the kids who have offers yearly.

He is a PA kid so is it good for PSU that he is not going to IMG and stays local?

Yes and no.

Yes, because anybody visiting him has to work a little harder to get to his HS. At IMG, he can be pursued much easier. He would have a higher profile playing nationally televised games.

The only downside is that the IMG experience is like starting college early. They run advanced schemes. They train like a college program. Going there and being successful means he would show up ready to contribute.
