We're back in. Of course the group is way behind meeting its goals and at the current rate, global temperature will increase not decrease (their own estimates). China, which contributes 20% of CO2 emissions doesn't contribute a dime to the Green Climate Fund. However, they were fine with accepting money from the fund to complete CO2 reduction projects in their country. Unfortunately the benefits they gain from their unenforceable commitments to CO2 reductions will be dwarfed by new CO2 producing projects in China.
Assuming we follow the approach Obama took, we'll contribute at least $3 billion to this sinking ship. At least twice the next highest contribution.
This is nothing more than political theatre. They can pat themselves on the backs and pander to their base and left wing fringe but actually accomplish nothing. In reality, the issue probably gets worse because we waste time and money getting nothing done while climate change continues.
