Parkland Boys VB Are State Champs

In the second round of the State Playoffs. Parkland is a huge school with an athletic machine. They are totally dedicated to winning in all sports. Their feeder programs are really good. Making a team at Parkland is very difficult.
They didn't do too hot today in the Semi. They just hit the ball right at the fielders.
They lost in the state semifinal. What a bunch of chumps, right? Give Wyoming Valley West all the credit.
Wow, I didn't say that. I just said they didn't do too hot. I thought they played a good game, but like I said, just hit the ball at the fielders and didn't hit the gaps. WVW pitcher was hitting his spots real well. Yikes, no need to be so sensitive!
Congrats to North Penn for winning their 3rd baseball championship in the past 7 years, a 4-3 win over Wyoming Valley West in 8 innings. The irony is NP lost to CR-North in the District 1 championship game. Great tournament this year, so many 1-run games.
Bethlehem Catholic, also from the East Penn Conference , won the AAA State title in softball.
All their sports are good both boys and gilrs. In the fall on the weekends, I like to walk in some of the parks around the area. They play pop warner(or whatever it is called here) and the parkland teams are all pretty good. I was surprised at some of the offensesive plays they were running with their older teams. These kids are getting a big head start in learning the HS game.
