Happy to hear his is signed, but MY GAWD! what a drama story. I'm more happy I don't have to read about his recruiting saga on here anymore.

I think I agree with everyone. You don't redshirt a guy like Parsons and the immediate need for next year (if there is one) is at LB not DE. Maybe he grows more and you eventually have to put him at DE but he should have no problem as a freshman at least playing linebacker.
Since we won't play Georgia in a meaningful game unless it is the last game of the year, I don't care much.
I don't like t count on true freshmen but we might not have a choice at LB.
??? There are a number of schools that churn out top10 classes year after year (Bama, OSU, FSU, Clemson, etc). Hopefully we are one of them moving forward. And UGA usually had top10 classes under Richt, as he does at Miami now.
Hate the true freshman topic. If the kid can play, he's not staying four years. If he needs time, you can always redshirt him. Start the clock day one.

Great news! This recruiting class might well be the best since the early Paterno years. I predict in about 2 years our team will be even better than the one we have this year. We were very fortunate to get Mr. Parsons.

Actually we are lucky that Pitt did recruit him! Narduzzi couldn't sell him on the advantages of playing home games in front of so many yellow seats!
Rivals has us at #3. I don't think we can catch OSU or Georgia but adding Oweh, Walker, & Dotson/Enis should keep us where we are. Has PSU ever finished higher than 3rd?
Great! I know of the drama but he's a kid you take a chance on. I am glad he's enrolling early as that gives him more adjustment time (he is enrolling early, right?). He may be a lot of drama but needs little physical development. If he can stay grounded, he'll be a huge contributor. I didn't see any other program backing away.
Pretty sure the year Arrington signed we were #1 by some services. Of course this is pre-internet days, The year we got Carter, Pitts, Archie, and the other RB who transferred we were pretty high too.
