has apparently been rehired as a weekend guy by 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. Don't listen all that often, but was in my car and after he does the hourly or whatever sports news, in which he gives the BB score in the win over Alabama, he keeps adding that this is something Joe Paterno could never do, namely beat Alabama. Besides being a no talent drunk, exactly what is this guy's problem? Just must be trying to win favor with the Pitt audience as so many PSU alums in the Pittsburgh media seem inclined to do.

Fwi. Pretty sure there are 2 Paul Alexander. One that use to drink with ‘RO and is probably this guy
Another who is the long time NFL OL coach I think CJF brought in to pick his brain last winter

Paul was/is close with Scrap and for some reason he felt Joe kept Scrap from becoming a head coach somewhere.

Paul has issues though mostly about trying to be a perpetual frat boy. His ex-wife was awesome and she put up with a lot of Paul’s shit when they were in SC. Most of it dealt with Paul’s excessive drinking with his boys. I know that because I was “one of his boys” at that time.

I only know his on the air persona and he's always come across as an arrogant self promoter to me. Maybe his sideswiping a police car on the Parkway East while driving half in the bag in the middle of the afternoon cemented his first firing at The Fan and led to the end of his marriage (presuming he was still married at the time).

As of 2012 they were still friends. Scrap hosted a dinner/gathering and Alexander was in attendance along with Randy bauman from WDVE and myself and few other schmucks. I’m sure these guys still congregate.

His personal self was outgoing and nice and engaging.
