Yes they would have. Everyone but you seems to realize that FSU undefeated was only left out due to the injury of their QB.

It won't be. It absolutely won't be but act surprised when the inevitable happens and we're penalized for a weak schedule and Michigan or Ohio State get a spot in 25 over us with an extra loss. I'm comparing us to other Big Ten and SEC teams not anyone else.

And ou comparing PSU only to B10 and SEC teams is short sighted. PSU will compete against all the best teams and there will be no clear cut formula, just like there wasn't when the evaluators chose Bama over FSU. There will be seasons where there will be teams that get in that surprise many people, regardless of their predictions in March 2024. Probably on both sides of the opinions. And that will continue, just like the surprises in the NCAA BB selections, forever unless they go to some time of math model. So act surprised when you by chance are correct at time and wrong at times.

That wasn't "the only reason". In no world was the SEC being left out. The SEC/Big Ten would already be out of the FBS/NCAA control.

Have you read the auto bids for the 14 team playoff? The SEC and Big Ten will likely get 4 most years. They will be compared amongst themselves with the Big XII and ACC getting 2 spots locked. Their will never be a Clemson-Penn State comparison come 2026.
Were you upset or mad when Ohio State got in over us due to us losing to Pitt and Michigan as well? You seem to not accept what is the reality of where we're headed here which is unusual for you.
