Micah has shown that he can recruit better talent. I expect State to begin a sustained presence in the NCAA playoffs soon. He will recruit inside the paint players, our biggest weakness . Have patience.
Better than players like Stevens and Carr? I see no evidence of that at this point.Micah has shown that he can recruit better talent.
8 years! The "Penn State" way!Micah has shown that he can recruit better talent. I expect State to begin a sustained presence in the NCAA playoffs soon. He will recruit inside the paint players, our biggest weakness . Have patience.
went to zero ncaa tournaments with themBetter than players like Stevens and Carr? I see no evidence of that at this point.
True but would have gone if not for covidwent to zero ncaa tournaments with them
and that counts for what exactlyTrue but would have gone if not for covid
My point is that there is no evidence at this point that Shrews is recruiting better than Chambers.and that counts for what exactly
he had even longer than dunn and dechellis and did less than both, with better players
In think Newbill would be the only player that would be a valid comparison at this point in time. It took Chambers a while to pull in that class. And he really didn't capitalize on itMy point is that there is no evidence at this point that Shrews is recruiting better than Chambers.
Maybe this year’s freshman will really improve but at this point I would say...
Carr > Clary
Stevens > Mahaffey
Watkins > Njie
I don't understand what you're saying. In think Newbill would be the only player that would be a valid comparison at this point in time. It took Chambers a while to pull in that class. And he really didn't capitalize on it
i am saying this is year 2 for micahI don't understand what you're saying.
Carr and Stevens made major contributions from day 1 and Watkins did too once he got past some academic and health issues.
Carr was selected in the second round of the NBA draft. He's now playing in Europe.
Stevens is playing in the NBA
Watkins is playing in Europe
That group won the NIT in 2018 and they would have made the NCAA tournament in 2020 if not for Covid. They were actually ranked in the top 10 at one point.
Do you see that potential from this year's freshmen?
I'm not dissing Shrewsberry. I'm just trying to point out that Chambers improved recruiting and had some competitive teams. I don't see any evidence that Shrewsberry is recruiting better than Chambers at this point. That doesn't mean he won't. It means he has a long way to go.
