Pretty sure we do not want WRs who are LIKED by a DC. If I were a DC, the only wideouts I would like would be those without 2 arms and 2 legs.....
I read about 15 articles online today from outlets based in Ohio with forum comments. Wanted to see what the real story was, and if there was dirt on this guy. Thousands of comments and almost every single one was positive about him and that this was an unexpected loss. This hurts and people are not happy he”s going to Penn State. There are several schools of thought on what may have happened at the very end.
They lowballed him at $2.75 and were really standing firm and not letting him go to the national championship celebration until he signed the contract that day. He was pretty upset with that and there were rumblings that Day sided with LJ in the early part of the season.

The symbolism is just as big as him being a skilled addition to the staff. The amount spent, getting him from conference rival OSU, him making a lateral move, the news coming out during OSU's victory celebration, the rumors that big time donors are opening their wallets, etc. These are all messages that PSU isn't playing around anymore and is finally serious about competing with the best programs in CFB. It's an exciting time to be a fan but the expectations are going to ramp up as well.
Why does anyone think this hire represents a change when it actually represents the status quo. Franklin attempting to buy a championship rather than earning one. We'll still be the third or fourth best team in the Big Ten under any realistic best case scenario and won't be a legit contender.
And a LB and DB?
Did OSU have the best defense in the country because of Knowles' elite coaching? Or was it because he had elite players?

Not a chance. LJ is a career position coach with probably only a short time to retirement at this point.
No, of course not. Joe gave him the break of his life hiring him from a high school as a DL Coach where he has remained for years. Of course, OSU gave him the Assist Head Coach position to placate him.
LJ is 73 and by now a rich man. If the 2025 defense goes south, maybe he will wear out his welcome.
Often perception is reality, and this hire gives us a huge media bump. Recruits pay attention to this stuff and more so in recent times.
Now Hagans and company need to get their act together.
