I have a publication from the Orange Bowl seasons 68/69 that is titled “11-0 twice in a row” that has a lot of pictures. I’ll try to dig it up and post some.

Tony Dungy says Jack Ham is the greatest OLB he's ever seen

Tony Dungy played with many all-time greats during his brief but successful time as a Pittsburgh Steelers' cornerback. After playing quarterback at the University of Minnesota, Dungy was drafted as a defensive back by the Steelers in 1977. After intercepting three passes as a rookie, Dungy led Pittsburgh with six picks in 1978 while helping the Steelers win their third Super Bowl in five seasons.

One of his teammates during that time was outside linebacker Jack Ham, a first ballot Hall of Famer who played a key role in each of Pittsburgh's four Super Bowl victories during the 1970s. Dungy, himself a member of the Hall of Fame following a 13-year career as an NFL head coach, was recently asked via Twitter why Ham is often overlooked when discussing the greatest outside linebackers in NFL history.

"I have never seen anyone play the outside linebacker position better than Jack Ham," Dungy wrote. "Fundamentals, technique, awareness and athleticism were all exceptional. He was the total package."

Jack was (and is) a really nice guy, had time for anybody when we were students. And he was a really smart player- if he was ever out of position I never saw it.
