Penn State may shut Down

It’s always a good time to make jokes! :)

(Also my Zombie post was actually a believer’s joke. I was saying “if you think this is bad, it could get worse!” :) )

Also, I’m not really a believer until we know what the rates are. But right now the rates seem worse than flu.

Just bustin balls, yeah this thing does seem to be spreadin faster than a Mineo tweet.

Not trying to be trite, but how do you conduct a chemistry or other lab course online?

Is this why they now require if to purchase pseudoephedrine?

A few years ago, I dated a girl that had an online lab course. She just had the chemicals shipped to her apartment. Granted, I think it was a pretty basic course, but still. It happened.

Hearing some rumblings that the students may not be going back to classes after Spring Break. If true, I wonder how this impacts the wrestling team.
Reminds me when spring semester was hugely altered spring '70 due to Viet Nam-related protests. They allowed students to decide: 1) continue classes as normal; 2) drop class without penalty; 3) get credit for class as P/F; 4) take the grade you had at the time. I appreciated that!

I was 2 years old Boomer :D .......Penn State campus will be closed until at least April 6th. Students will be doing classes online.

We received word today that Villanova will be transitioning to 100% online classes beginning on Monday the 16th. This will remain in effect until April 14th at the earliest.

Campus is technically not closed but all dorms are remaining closed as are dining halls, the hub eateries etc... the only open dorms and dining halls staying open are those for foreign nationals and individuals with extenuating circumstances that won’t allow for them to go home.

I wonder how they process room/board refunds to students? Half a semester is a substantial amount of money.

My daughter is a student at PSU and they have not yet informed us as to how they will handle the room and board situation. Her twin brother at George Washington will be getting a refund on a prorated basis while their campus is shut down. I believe Penn State will follow GW's lead and do the right thing since they are "requiring" students to vacate the campus.

A little food for thought for those who like to follow the money.

The WHO has a financial incentive in declaring this a pandemic. It issued Pandemic Bonds paying 7% interest which now the WHO does not have to repay.

The age of getting to choose your facts based on what your favorite “me”dia outlets feed you is not an ideal time for a global pandemic. Better than the days of no science like the plague? maybe.

Who cares what a bunch of old guys from an old rock band have to say or do about anything? And if they want to declare the name of their new Album "Pandemic".....WHO cares?

PS: If you are thinking "How can anyone interpret those facts in such a completely Bizarre way'? …..Now you know how we feel :) :( :)
