With Penn State's 2023 season opener against West Virginia just eight days away, Happy Valley Insider continues to confirm 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 prospects who will be on campus for the opener.
With that being said, Penn State will be hosting one of the top offensive linemen out of the New England region next Saturday when the Nittany Lions take on the West Virginia Mountaineers. Owen Aliciene, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive tackle out of Avon Old Farms, will be on campus next Saturday, he confirmed to Happy Valley Insider.
Aliciene holds nine offers in his recruitment, including Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Umass, Penn State, Pittsburgh, SMU, and Texas A&M.
Alciene earned his offer from the Nittany Lions in mid-May before visiting for the Nittany Lions' Lasch Bash at the end of July. Since the beginning of August, he's earned offers from Duke, Florida State, Maryland, and Texas A&M.
"It was a great visit; I had a lot of fun," the offensive lineman said about his visit for the Lasch Bash. "I’d say the way they ran the camp stood out to me, and the competition we got to go against was great. I got to work out alongside some committed players, which was also great."
