I'll be attending the game with a friend, who has never been to a Penn State game before. The accommodations are all set, and have been so for months. Don't have tickets yet, and wasn't planning on getting them ahead of time; was just going to get a pair of tickets the day of the game from someone selling them on the street, or at the football box office, like I have many times before.
I'm just curious to what others think of not getting the tickets beforehand? Is this a bad idea? Are there things that I should be aware of beforehand? I certainly don't want anything terrible to happen with it being my friend's first time experiencing Beaver Stadium and Penn State football live. I'm concerned about counterfeit tickets. All and any advice is greatly appreciated.
