Interesting that a nonscholarship walk on would have to go through the portal process. He isn’t getting any financial aid so he should be free to do as he pleases.
Perhaps by going through the portal he is hoping to get a scholly somewhere.

Got to give props to these kids that put the hard work in for 5 years but rarely see the field. They prepare the starters by being scout team players, all the while paying their own way. A big thank you to Justin and all the walk on players!

I would think more so to get noticed, whether scholarship or not. Some lower classification school can brag about getting a transfer from PSU,
