Based on what we saw last year, I believe that is totally feasible. I have also heard from some 57 isn’t a tough cut for him
Almost consensus projected lineup right now is:
125 - LL
133 - Nagao/Davis (Willie leans Davis)
141 - Bartlett
149 - Van Ness
157 - Kasak (almost no mention of Mesenbrink here the last few months)
165 - Mesenbrink
174 - Facundo/Levi (Willie leans Facundo)
184 - Carter
197 - Barr/Cochran (Lean Barr but Willie says Mirasola could be in play)
285 - Kerkvliet
125 - LL

149 - Van Ness
157 - Kasak (almost no mention of Mesenbrink here the last few months)

Mitchell will not be wrestling 157. He isn't as thick as Levi, but Mitchell's shoulders are extremely broad. If Levi is in the 180+ pound range Mitchell isn't very far behind.
There is 0 reason to redshirt Kasak because he is clearly the guy at 157.
For a column on PSU wrestling rumors it was somewhat weak. It was missing some of the rumors and had no answers to most of the ones it was aware of.

No matter which wrestlers come out of the pre season grind, this team will threaten last yrs record setting unit. Expect 5 potential champs and great scoring potential throughout. With Carters run for five, the team should be on the national sports radar from the get go. Top it off with the championships being in Philly and it should be a memorable run to glory. Sit back and enjoy the show! This program never fails to amaze me. Stock rises every yr and there is even more capacity in the tank with new recruits and potential future recruits. It’s a world class program. No one even close to threatening this pride.
I've been telling a few people privately, but I'll put it out there now. Josh Barr will be wrestling either AJF or Stephen Buchanon in the NCAA Finals. The opponent depends upon the seeds.

Not belittling anybody's skill level, but Cochran isn't beating Barr or Mirasola.
From what I've seen this weekend and at u20 WTT, Josh has bought into the program fully, and has jumped levels since many were worried about his ability to create angles and create offense. I'm with you--though I guess we'll have to see how he handles being on the mat.
He already came in with mat skills. He hasn't shown it yet, but he's developed a mean ankle pick. Go figure.
I guess I meant on the mat in the B1G. If only we had a coach or two who could teach that. I'm not very worried!
Kasak will win 157. It doesn’t seem there is any real competition for the spot. Davis/Nagao I don’t know, Willie says Nagao is really hurt and Davis is beating him out atp in time

I get it. That's why I have him 3rd. If Carter is 184, my assumption is Barr at 197 with Mirasola RS'ing. PSU is going to have a logjam in 2026-27 up and down the lineup.
