We do have critical lack of depth at a couple of positions, and a minimal run game. Our D has vastly improved and is the best in several years. And we keep changing OC's, making life tough for whoever is QB, whoever is playing OL, and a few other positions.
So while its nice to hear kudos coming from the media, and to be "this close" to being undefeated, I do wonder what others outside HV see that keeps us near the top of the rankings? And I wonder what the other BT coaches are muttering under their breaths when no one is listening. CJF has his detractors on this board and elsewhere (including going for it on too many 4th and semi-short) , but he too is in demand.
So, just perhaps, we are being looked at as a true up and coming team that is pretty solid across the board - coaches, players, incoming classes, etc? After last years disaster, thats a pretty quick turnaround in opinion, dont you think?
