While I'm not surprised with the posts blaming the coaches for the loss today, and I'm not surprised by the posts complaining about the players, the reality is that we're doing pretty well given where we are coming from and while today's game was probably the most frustrating loss I can remember, in the overall scheme of things, young players learned a lot today and some of the mistakes they made will benefit them in the future... and conversely, those mistakes will allow the program to win those close games the next time around. We were 3 pt. underdogs today; we were outplayed for 2 plus quarters and when we needed a play, our young guys didn't make them. You can blame the coaches, you can blame the play calling; but the reality is, we're young and young players made huge mistakes today. Yes, the loss is disappointing, but the future is still bright. Unfortunately, I sort of expected this today. You guys have to give Northwestern credit, they played an outstanding game and they made the plays they needed to to win the game, we didn't. Fitzgerald is a hell of a coach, ans so is Franklin. In a couple of years, we win this game, but for now, it's all still a learning experience. In 2 weeks, watch us as we play Michigan really tough, in fact, I believe we will win that game. These guys will learn from today, do better, and it will serve us well in the future.
