So I'm in an airport lounge (nice place to get food and relax before a flight, not a bathroom), and I want to charge my cell phones and plug in my laptop. All of the outlets are really loose. It's like a hot dog in a hallway. I often see the same thing in coffee shops.

This cannot stand. I. AM. OUTRAGED.

Or they are not even working because they are not plugged in to the main line.

Over time the prongs can separate. Think of the custodian that sweeps the boarding areas and hallways in a particular area.. they're now 30 feet away from the plug, and have reached the end of the line as far as the cord is concerned and need to keep going forward.

YANK. Drag the cord to the next outlet. Wash rinse repeat.

When those outlets go bad, I can't see how any airport would want to replace them for "passenger convenience". Considering most airports were built long ago, the outlets were installed simply for custodial work and other work related to maintenance that requires power in some way.

Now that everyone has multiple computers, phones, etc and are all charging their various devices, all the time, you can't tell me that hasn't put a major strain on electricity costs. For this reason, I can see why airports wouldn't want to replace outlets. One less person that can charge their phone saves the airport money.

I guess you're not a fan of these stickers.

All true, but it doesn't help my OUTRAGE. The airline lounge I am in today has a group of tables along one wall with outlets placed near each table. They are meant for guests, but they suck.

Just trying to help you keep your OUTRAGE on an even keel. Wouldn't want all of your OUTRAGE turning into a pumper OUTAGE.

That said I have some things going on that are causing some severe outrage. This board helps turn it down a notch.

Perhaps you could stick a fork prong into the outlet as well as your plug...you know, to take up the extra space

Buy a Peppermint Pattie, fold up the foil wrapper and slide it in the outlet to fill the gap. If your lucky, you will choose the neutral side of the outlet and won't even RISK getting shocked!

Thanks for the tips. I knew I could count on the "all-knowing board". ;)

It's the Russians. They are downloading the contents of every device plugged in, and then sending it to the appropriate governing agencies. Panic and Chaos in your future!

Dude. You gotta update your rap. Its getting weak. In this time and place, when you wish to complain about something you use but have no entitlement to whatsoever, you must always use this phrase:

"This is BULLSHIT!!!"

I'm not opposed to the vernacular, but is this a quote from something/someone in particular or just your preference?

Its nothing in particular, it just seems like a very common, modern way of complaining about a situation in which you are not entitled to anything. For example, a terrible school bus crash in which you are not involved except to be delayed getting to a bar to meet your friends for drinks. As the choppers haul the injured children away, you're drumming your fingers on the steering, looking at your watch, and saying "this is bullshit. I'm the VICTIM here."

Ever wonder why airlines are always overbooking flights? It's all those people who miss the boarding call because they've electrocuted themselves charging their phones.
