Peyton Falzone is a heck of an athlete. The question is,

He’s a QB. He has the best arm I’ve ever seen by a high school QB. He can really sling it. He’ll will be a P4 QB without question, but still not sure he’s a take for PSU. Likely an ACC or mid tier BIG recruit.

is he a Power 4 QB, or a Power 4 athlete moving to another position? His highlight video shows him throwing off his backfoot a lot. It's tough to gauge his arm strength. What isn't hard to gauge is his impressive ability to run, including running through traffic.

Kid is a good athlete with a strong arm. Most surprising is that he has “touch”….that’s rare. —Hope we pursue him.

He was a VT verbal but reopened his recruiting. I follow hs football up here. Same hs as Jahan Dotson. Team was a little disappointing this year (their defense was horrible) but the conference was highly competitive. Great athlete and arm that still needs to work on some qb mechanics, which is understandable as he is still young. He has prototypical qb height but would need to put on weight for P4 competition. I hope he ends up at PSU as he has a very high ceiling (already a 247 4 star.) The current competition for him is VT, Syracuse, and Wiscy.

Do you think we take 2 QBs in '26?

He’s certainly good enough to get recruited by PSU. Better than that kid we took this year but I just don’t know if PSU will agree. He was previously committed to VA Tech.

He would be a perfect No. 2 QB in this class...outstanding athlete that could move to another position but man, give him a good QB coach and he could flourish, like even high-end NFL prospect upside, his HS highlights are kinda unreal at times, he feels like a guy that would go to a school like Kansas/Kansas State, NC State or like Arizona State and is promised to be their No.1 QB and develops into a dangerous All-Conference player who could get drafted in the first two rounds and a lot of PSU fans would be wondering out loud "why didn't we recruit this guy harder?"

PSU staff has already told him he won’t play QB here. Rumblings that VT told him he could play QB, but internally thought he’d eventually be a TE.

If he wants to play QB, his mechanics and delivery will need a lot of work to play at P4.

At least they are being honest with him. Tyler Warren was a HS QB and his transition to TE is going to pay off big time $.

He has a great arm and should at least try to play QB. He can easily switch positions or transfer if he isn’t progressing in a year or two. He has great arm talent but of course needs work on accuracy and touch. But the kid just finished his junior year we can’t expect finished products.

But I have no idea why the staff would take the kid we just signed but not Falzone. Maybe he’s not as polished now but has massive upside.

Both of his parents were great athletes. I know, I taught at the school when they were in HS. He's at least 6'4" and runs a 4.5 so no question about his natural abilities. I'm not an expert on his ability as a qb but he does want to play qb. He has an interest in PSU but whether he will go there as an athlete is anyone's guess. Yes, he was at the SMU game.

It's the portal era. I'd tell him he's got a shot at QB and after 2 practices "kid, let's RS ya and make you the next Tyler Warren." That's what UVA did with Heath Miller. Or course, there was no portal back then.

Or go the Luke Reynolds route. Transfer him to a powerhouse where he transitions to a WR/TR as a senior. He was a converted QB and he looks very promising already.

Heck, at his height and length, I could even see DE.

That sentence rivals Dickens' "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...." for its uninterrupted length! ;)

His measurables remind me somewhat of Joe Jurevicious, when he was coming out of high school. He looks like he could do a lot of damage as a receiver. He certainly has the speed and agility to be a wideout.
