Breaking Now; Doping ring from a Indy Anti Aging clinc was linked to Manning..

If true, he isn't a HOF IMO.

Nobody is clean.

At least he didn't take air out of a football. He better hope Ted Wells doesn't investigate.

If so, then I really have lost respect for him. To say he's not in the HOF is ridiculous though.

Namath got it done on Dewars and brunettes.
There will NEVER EVER be the equal EVER of Joe Willie Namath. He broke the mold.

Great guy, great family just what they slime balls like to destroy. Same crap they pulled on JVP. I don't believe it, I say bullshit.

I just googled it, and apparently it is Al Jazeera that is investigating the story and the guy making the claim is not deemed to be 100% credible. The on line article I read concludes that there needs to be some corroboration to this guys claims.

Well hell. If you can't trust Al Jazeera, who can you trust?

So you be ok with Bonds and them to be in?

They cheated, no way they should be in.

I think their records should be taken away and they should have been suspended when tested positive. I think A Rod should have has a lifetime ban and should have had to pay the Yankees back whatever they paid him since his first suspension for steroids.

That being said, I think that there should be nobody banned from the HOF. I think that baseball should choose who can vote very carefully and then the voters should be able to device who is on the HOF. Its a Hall of Fame, which should include all of the most famous players. Likewise, Pete Rose was rightfully banned from participating in Baseball and I understand why Shoeless Joe was banned at the time because they really needed to clean the sport up beyond a shadow of a doubt, but both should be eligible to be in the HOF. It there was cheating or other scandals, then this should be part of the message for these players (not just sunshine and rainbows).

That's just my opinion...

I would have to disagree. Friend of mine went to college with a big investment guy down in Florida. The stories he was telling about Peyton recently partying down there (offseason) and having a line of girls march out to his limo to join him in the back seat made me think of full on Tiger Woods. Clean cut image, seedy infidelity and an entitlement attitude in reality.

Yeah, I know "everyone does it..."

My brother and I got into a spirited discussion about this yesterday. Pete Rose HURT THE GAME when he bet on baseball. Who knows how many games he threw to either get even or get ahead. He's OUT and he stays OUT. Now and forever. Who wants to buy a ticket when the game is not on the up and up? If I want to watch fixed matches, I'll go see pro rasslin'.

Yes, Petey is famous. So put him in the freak show next to the bearded lady and the calf with five legs.

As for the known, identified steroid CHEATERS, they're out too. Most of the BBWAA members have made their position pretty clear - not no how, not no way. Bonds, Sosa, McGwire and their ilk can get their induction into Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

Have there been cheaters slip in? Sure. We don't catch every bank robber, either. But those we do catch, we don't let them go.

I wouldn't vote for Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, or ARod to go into the HOF, but I don't think they should be excluded. I think the process should let the writers to decide initially and then the veterans.

This would bum me out. I thought Manning was one of the good guys. Really hope this is not true

Jesus Christ have we, of all people, not learned anything the last 4 years? Look at the source of the "story" - this isn't a news story, this is a fabrication. I am by no means a Manning fan but don't believe what you read from so-called reporters.

I'm
Ill be skeptic until there's more info. Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman are named, too. I'll defer to Phillies fans to comment on Howard, but I would be stunned if RZ was a user. He's a model of doing things the right way. That said, both had injuries to overcome.

I agree. I'll be skeptical until I hear more about it and people are questioned about their dealings. The linked article is confusing to me.

A clinic employee said in the documentary that HGH was sent to Manning's house but always under his wife's name. Yet they state later that the same clinic employee would not back up those statements to Al Jazeera. Not sure how you make the accusation to an Al Jazeera reporter in the documentary but then refuse to back them up to Al Jazera at the same time. Not only that, but he then supposedly said the claims were false. Which one is it??? Doesn't seem like a trustworthy source if this bleacher report article is to be believed.

That said, Manning released a pretty emphatic statement saying it's all BS but yet admits to being a patient of that clinic. His agent also would not flatly deny that the clinic sent HGH to Peyton's wife. Then the agent made a statement how the treatment was based on the recommendations of a doctor and with the knowledge to team docs and trainers. That just caught me as a little odd- like trying to get some wiggle room for excuses (although I could be reading too much into it).

I'll reserve judgement until a legitimate news source digs deeper and we see what the real evidence is.

Speaking of Joe Willie Namath.................it brings back OLD memories of guys like Joe, Billy Kilmer, Roman Gabriel, and even Kenny "Snake" Stabler hobling on and off the field while leading their teams in the playoffs. Who knows if drugs were ever used back then, but we fans never even thought about it.

Now, I don't know if its the MONEY, EGO'S, or all of the above, that drugs play a huge role in the longevity of these players now-a-days. I would hope to say being able to walk later in my life would be the excuse to get out in my early 30's, instead of going on while I was making millions upon millions chasing a record while my body was being pieced back together every year.

As for the story..............AL Jazeera, yeah, right. Prove it.

Nothing surprises me. Nevertheless, let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Holy cow Nate, I wouldn't want you on a jury.

In this state, we now know the jury doesn't matter. The outcome is predetermined.

Joe Willy probably shouldn't be in the HOF. Go look at his stats. My guess if he didn't play in NYC, predict a SB win, and wasn't a media darling he wouldn't be in.

To they guy spreading rumors about Manning in FL. Shame on U.

Saw Archie yesterday at his restaurant. He walks like he has been hit by a Mack truck a few times. Small. thin frame.
