I missed the first quarter and came in halfway through the second. Plus was talking with family the whole game so didn’t play close attention. Missed Trub altogether. Saw a replay of Rudolph making a great TD throw into a tight corner of the end zone after scrambling.

Wish this chart had playing time as Pickett played the entire second half..... methinks. The other two had one quarter each.

Also, didn’t see Calvin Austin at all......the speedy 5’ 9” 161 lb dart. How did he do?

Believe Austin was out with foot injury.

Not really after two weeks of camp. Pretty much the initial taxi squad and blocking/tackling dummies.

Good first game. Pickett looked poised, patient, and productive. I liked what I saw from Pickett. Tribinsky looked real smooth too.

Even though Rudolph tossed a TD pass too, he threw 2 near interceptions, one of which should have absolutely been caught. To me, Rudolph is a career backup.

Trubisky looked the best, Kenny was solid though nothing down the field. Lots of stuff to the backs and short to the. Rudolph pocket awareness is still poor but his TD to picks was the best pass of the night

The fact that they both signed Trubisky and drafted Pickett tells me the Steelers think Rudolph isn't the answer. OTOH, a career backup isn't a bad gig if you can get it. I wonder whatever happened to Cliff Stoudt.
