I thought this might be a semi-interesting subject since this was the first year of 32 v 33 seed pigtails. The results were as follows:
Seven of the ten 33 seeds defeated the 32 seed.
No 33 seeds advanced past the 1st Championship round (no surprise there).
Only two 33 seeds went 0-2
Three 33 seeds advanced in the wrestlebacks:
>Jacob Aven lost his pigtail but won twice in the wrestlebacks including an upset of #14 seed AJ Nevills.
>Joseph Smith (not your average 33 seed) advanced to the round of 16.
>Devin Kane wins the best 33 seed award, advancing to the round of 12 upsetting #7 Jacobe Smith along the way.
