Anyone here do a golf package at Pinehurst, or Pine Needles? Looking for a quick 4-5 nite trip in March, around the 20th...thanks...any info will be greatly appreciated...

Adult Disneyland.....the grounds keepers, janitors, starters, waiters, bar staff are all friendly, polite. Service with a smile.....it is a great place to eat, drink, golf, tennis, spa.......You just feel good at Pinehurst, even making a double bogey

From the former executive chef at the resort (now has a top notch B&B in Bryson City):

Resort - Holly or Carolina
Likes the Holly. Tavern at Holly fun place. Highest rated restaurant - 1895
Manor - Re-done but still sketchy probably
Magnolia Inn - small pub and B&B Very old but fun place.
The Jefferson - nice rooms, good bar, live entertainment, fun place
Pinecrest Inn the one must drinking experience
Southern Pines - lots of good restaurants bars
Plenty of non-resort hotel options. He mentioned Spring Hill Suites.

Stayed at the Carolina....it's awesome, breakfast buffet is phenomenal. Package included dinner at choice of several spots, they were all great. Went with my wife. It was about $500 per night for both of us, including golf, cart, practice range, hotel, breakfast, and dinner. pretty good deal when you break it down. Service is great. You leave your clubs on the cart and they are waiting for you the next day at the course you have scheduled.

Went there with the guys a 1.5 years ago. Stayed at the Pine Crest Inn which was once owned by Donald Ross. Great breakfast. Good bar and you can practice chipping in the lobby. Visit the place even if you don't stay there.

Played two at Pinehurst. Also played Pine Needles, Seven Lakes, Southern Pines and one or two more. All good. Enjoy!
