Pinstripe Bowl - 13 of the 18 good defensive plays were made by returning players

I watched the 1 hr version of the game on youtube this evening.

I defined good plays as anytime we stopped them 3 yards or shorter, good pass defense etc.

I didn't deduct points for missed tackles, etc.

AJ and Zettle were the best defensively. Nyeem W. Played well. Lucas and Allen were in on a bunch of plays as well. Mike Hull was unusually quiet.

I didn't think the defense played terribly well overall, but it was great to see that the playmakers are all returning.

Use that same criteria and extrapolate the stat for last year - that would be a more telling sign.
