i read in the SF Chronicle this morning that there will be a special election in a suburban Pittsburgh congressional district on March 13. I think it is to replace the GOP congressman (Murphy?) who resigned after admitting to an extramarital affair.
The report says it puts Democratic former federal prosecutor and Marine Corps vet Conor Lamb against former USAF counter intelligence officer and GOP state rep Rick Saccone. The district went for Trump at a 58% clip in 2016.
The report noted that this special election will be an early test of Trump’s 2018 coattails, as Saccone has described himself as being “Trump before Trump was Trump.”
Does anyone here live in that district?
