These signings would have been something special for the 2010 season NOT 2019. Its a hard thing to be a pirates fan. Especially for 51 years like me and knowing I'll never see them make the series.
They will be a little under .500 and if they overachieve they may win 85. They will not return to the playoffs any time soon unless the division really has a down year
Yeah, the Pirate's division is really stacked. The Cubs are big spenders and are no longer stupid like they were for years. St. Louis is a top-notch baseball city and organization. The Reds have been down, but made some big off-season moves and Milwaukee actually won it last year.
Pirates ought to dig this guy up?

Indeed I did GLOV. He was the only guy I ever knew that wore metal spikes to play Wiffle Ball.

Pirates signed Garth Brooks today for a week. Now that's probably there best spring signing. Maybe Blake Shelton is next to sign.
