Looking for a spectacular view and great food. Altios or Monterey Fish? Anything less expensive you would recommend?

Monterey Bay tried and failed with an outpost down here in Tysons Corner, Virginia, a few years ago. It wasn't bad, but it didn't last long. Not sure what they were thinking with the intended expansion....

Probably Altius. Even at that, you're really paying for the view. Their food should be better considering the prices. Pretty much everything else up there is stodgy, not reasonably up on dining trends.

My real advice would be a drink(s) on the deck at the Grandview Saloon, then head off the hill for much better food/value for dinner.

Yeah the Lemont sucks. My fiancé’s old company had their Christmas party there every year. Good time... but the food was bad. I figured it may have been due to serving a party of people at once.. prepped ahead of time, etc...

So we went back for table service on our own and it was worse.

You’re essentially paying for the view. Not uncommon to see Chip Ganassi there. Otherwise, if you’re hungry you’ll be more satisfied hitting up the Golden Corral in Robinson.

I recommend Altus. I’ve eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. I haven’t been there in 6 months, however.

Sorry, I couldn’t afford to eat at any of those places while I was living on Mt washington. But I did spent a lot of time at Redbeards Mountain Resort and Yacht Club!

My vote would also be Altius. But Both a excellent for a special celebration type dinner.
