i think what we learned last nite in the Maryland game is Penn State has the skill players to compete with the best programs in the country if they have success controlling the line of scrimmage - and that is a big question. We knew Maryland’s offensive and defensive lines were not good and it was evident last nite. Clifford has time to throw the ball, unlike the Pitt game and the defensive line disrupted the Maryland passing game unlike The Pitt game. Could the offensive and defensive lines have improved that much in the bye week- Maybe. Time will tell as we go through the season. Iowa will probably be the first big test. If so, it could be a very good year.
