**PODCAST: Jay Paterno talks NIL, Shrewsberry's departure and PSU's future**

he can't get through 60 seconds without declaring himself a national expert on the topic, then going on to defend the "merits" of the thing he founded which had the effect of driving a coach to look for another job

For me Jay is irrelevant regarding anything PSU and I wouldn't waste a minute listening to him. Joe is gone and Jay can't speak for him.

Ok .. but if true, why did you waste time responding to the irrelevant when the choice to ignore is much more powerful.

If his last name wasn’t Paterno, he’d be a manager in Sheetz.
he would have a lot more credibility if he ever could have accepted the need to go out and prove himself somewhere else. even if he had to start over as a coordinator at D3. but he never was willing to do this, thought he was entitled to the OC (and probably HC) positions at penn state, and it got him nowhere

not interested in his weird economic theories as they relate to NIL
