If Rutgers can cobble together a couple full rides for a couple more Penn State trained recruits, who knows. Rumor has it you need 8 scorers at nationals. With 3 kids who can wrestle maybe Rutgers?

Pitt has a better chance.
Who are Rutgers recruits?

Iowa's window is 2020 and that's it. Fans should be upset at the recruiting effort to surround Marinelli, Lee, Warner and Kemerer.

Not Iowa. Let’s face it, with a healthy Nolf and a smarter Joseph, last nights match would have been something like 34-6!

My oh my has the gap widened! Who do they have in RS or coming in? PSU is loaded with more on the way. Buckeyes and Pokes seem to be the only ones that can keep pace.

That's like the windows in my office building. Bolted shut.

Cassioppi the only impact guy in 2018. No recruits at all in 2019 with a lot of the big hitters committed or at weights Iowa can't accommodate.

Picc-Fix-Brock-Gfeller is a formidable lower weight lineup for the Pokes.

Can't look more than a year out with any kink of accuracy, imo, too may variables...and even a year out is hard. On paper, looks like Oklahoma State will field a nice squad in 2018-19, and could be the main competition if we're picking one team.

On paper, using current rankings, Ohio State, NC State, Michigan and Missouri graduate the most points next year. Iowa only loses Sorensen, but has a couple weight classes that need upgrades. Lehigh will have a nice team next year too.

In all seriousness, PSU's biggest challenge next year may be keeping everyone healthy. If they are healthy and ready to go, I don't think anyone will challenge them.

Looks that way now but things can change. As a for instance that is exactly what everyone thought last year at this time about this season and look what happened.

What happened? Nothing that any of the other teams did (unless you are counting likely shady recruiting by RU). Suriano transferred and Nolf is injured. Could someone else transfer? Of course, but highly unlikely to be a starter. And injuries happen, which is why I stated that. Everyone knew the Bucks would be loaded this year. Next year they are replacing three studs to our one. I still think if we are healthy, no one else is a realistic threat to title.
