I think she’s tremendous - very elegant, versatile, talented; and I’m more of a leg guy anyway. She’s a showstopper.

i like the pink, the white makes her look too skinny and i like skinny girls. also, the complete lack of anything up top is accentuated to much by the white dress.

Up top is irrelevant when you have ridiculous legs IMO. Watch them work a rope in this clip in the best fitting shorts ever. Might help with the up top part - or not...;).

Thanks for the pics.

Didn't watch the Oscars this year, and many others are also tuning out.

This isn’t shocking. Most people didn’t see the nominated movies and with no real host or other big reason to tune in the ratings have suffered like they have for pretty much everything. Still did better than The Master’s. /shrug

Also, there is a lot of 'informing' going on in many of these movies and not much 'entertaining'. Maybe it's getting older, but I don't really want to watch someone struggle as a nomad or suffer through dementia.

@Midnighter2 -- I didn't do any pre-Oscar threads this year, as I hadn't even seen half of the nominated movies.

Regarding your comment about someone suffering through dementia, I had absolutely no interest in seeing The Father. And I almost turned it off within 10 minutes of starting it. That said, I kept it on and while it's not a subject that's all that upbeat, the movie is actually quite good, with a lot of unexpected quirks. And Hopkins did give a marvelous performance.

Yeah, I hear he is incredible and in a normal year when there is some time to build up hype for a movie/performance, Hopkins is the kind of guy people like to see at these things. Might check it out with your recommendation.

its kind of ironic that I saw more pictures nominated this year than any other thanks to streaming.
But yea how many of the big pics delayed releasing their film? I mean the Bond movie is still on hold for releasing.
I also didn't like the idea of no host and no music performances. I would have liked to see Trent R. and Jon Batiste doing something from Soul. I would have tuned in for that alone.

Well, this thread shows you how much difference a bad hairdo can make. No way that Halle Berry is not the best looking woman in this group. Margot Robbie is the one who gives her the most competition, but even still, Halle comes out on top. Except for that hairdo. It looks ridiculous.
