I'm wondering what the direction is for the Republican party once Trump is gone whether it is 2020, 2024 or whenever, especially when it comes to the issues of trade and immigration. Has he changed the party in a way that will last when he is gone? Of course anyone can respond to the poll but I'm most interested in what Republicans/conservatives think since the are the ones who vote in primaries and steer the party. Most Republicans seem loyal to Trump but he seems like kind of a one man band and I don't see him building a Trump coalition in Congress. When he is gone who will pick up and carry the torch? Does he have supporters who will do that or will the neocons and Kasichs, Romneys, and George Will types step back into power like nothing ever happened? Asking because I really don't know the answer.
