@mcpat, with your permission, of course. ;)

Edit - Apologies for the reset. Had to update the poll options after he released his Top 4 list this morning.

I still believe he comes to PSU. Not a big deal if he doesn’t (which says nothing about his future as it is bright regardless). I’d really prefer it not being Iowa though as it would be tough to root for him.

Okie St. for me, I want to see Taylor pass Brands with a quickness.
I voted the same way. Not necessarily any personal animosity towards Brands or Iowa, but I believe the PSU way of training, competing, etc revolutionized the sport and the Gable/Iowa way is on its way to being mothballed, and I'd love to see Cael vs DT emerge as the marquee showdown in the sport. Until Nolf or Nick takes over at Iowa when they realize they're not getting back to the top with Iowa retreads in like 20 years. LOL.

I hope he goes to PSU. If not I hope it is OSU or VaTech so he can get help with his development. I would hate to see him go to Iowa and not come anywhere near his potential.
VT is on that list for a reason. If it's the face of a program he wants to be it's there the other three have many faces for their programs

If he does go to Iowa, where does that put Spencer on the Face of Iowa list? I wonder if Spencer will facemush him, given the opportunity.

Correction: Chestmush.

Honestly, I didn't see anywhere other than OSU or PSU. This is a 8-10 year investment full in for the rest of his career. The RTC is as important as the program.

It's either roll with the promise of DT which appears huge, or the proven excellence of Cael.

I don't see any real viability for Iowa or VT. Just IMHO

With respect to your first question, I suppose it depends on whether you think he’d do better than 1-1-1-Q6 and take fewer than 6 career losses. 🤷‍♂️

To your second query, it might depend on whether Bassett “wants it”.

If kids knew where that was, we wouldn't have a transfer portal.
This response isn't directed at you personally, but I always get a chuckle when this topic comes up.

It's easy to pile on kids for poor decision-making, but this phenomenon isn't limited to indecisive teenagers.

Coaches jump ship constantly, even with a contract. Hell, Bill Belichick agreed to coach the Jets and then was like, 'nah, I'm good' 24 hours later. If adults don't even know what is going to fulfill their goals, and they aren't required to satisfy the legal documentation that they signed in good faith, why should college students be held to a higher standard?

In my opinion: Too much ego, too much self-importance, too much family involvement, a potential coach's pain in the ass. All factors relatively equal amongst his top 4 choices only Iowa, out of desperation, would promise this young man what he seeks: to be the star, the focal point, team changer. Shades of S. Lee. I want to see it again.

Iowa

I want to see Bob go all in for Bassett, AJ, and assorted other rentals. Watching GIA's meltdown when their 15M team accepts their 3rd-place trophy will be entertainment at its best.

In reality a 3rd place Iowa team is doing really well.
