The Houston loss is the single most embarassing game I've ever seen. I was 7 in 1981, so that doesn't resonate with me. But blowing a 25 point lead in the fourth quarter? That kind of awful is special.

Boy, Midnighter, you just reminded me of the 1983 game versus Alabama. We led 34-7 after 3 quarters and had to stop the Tide at our goal line in th final seconds to escape 34-28.

Someone here will likely say PSU benefited from a bad call, but if he will check the tape, he’ll see a Bama TE move before the snap on the final controversial play. Or so my memory claims

Okay, let me parse that a bit - Pitt was up 34-13 with about six minutes left.

Some of you are really fvcked up with your Pitt obsession.
Agreed. But I voted. Why not? Didn’t take much effort.

Seems we’ve got quite a consensus for winner. Was impressed that my second choice is the second choice so far-OK-state-, since I truly don’t give a darn about Pitt. In fact, I’m one of the few here who wants them to become a better team.

3-0 loss in the sun bowl with shady mccoy as starting RB. Absolutely pitt-thetic. Announcers were dissing them the entire game. Too bad nobody was watching.

That was horrid.

Another would be the loss to a USF team all of 4 years in existence and first year of 1-A.

Why is this thread even here?????

Because Pitt is a turd den that can't resist the urge to call others out, and make themselves look stupid within days.

The Fralic "Pancake", Boys of "Fall", and "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" are three examples of idiocy at its best.

Don't leave out "You walk today because of Pitt".

None of the above. 1968 or 69 they were getting crushed by Notre Dame and played the second half with a running clock. Notre Dame will tell you Pitt asked for it to run. The Pitters will tell you ND did it on their own. Either way they were mercy ruled.

In the "Ohio State 72 Pitt 0" game, Ohio State scored their last touchdown on a punt return. The Buckeyes only had 8 players on the field (vs. 11 Panthers) on that punt return.
